Mr. Glenister's current role as a naval operations and naval warfare subject matter expert at Moebius Solutions Inc. in San Diego, California, allows him to leverage his vast experience to develop advanced IT solutions for battle management aids. Since 2021, he has been instrumental in creating sophisticated calculators that optimize ship positioning and provide decision support for naval ship Commanding Officers and tacticians. His work ensures that current naval officers benefit from the same level of strategic insight that guided him during his time at sea.
Prior to his tenure at Moebius Solutions Inc., Mr. Glenister served as a senior strategy consultant on an independent basis and with the Highbury Defense Group from 2019 to 2021.
Mr. Glenister's academic background includes a Master of Science in computer science from Nova Southeastern University, earned in 2003, and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame, completed in 1990. His education has been pivotal in his ability to integrate IT and AI into decision support systems for naval operations. Additionally, he holds several certifications from the Department of Defense, including Defense Acquisition Workforce (DAWIA) certifications in engineering, facilities engineering and information technology.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Glenister is deeply involved in civic organizations. He has served as an adult leader in Scouting for over two decades, and has been the committee chairman of several Scouting units (Scout Troop and Cub Scout Pack). He was the District Chairman for his local Scouting BSA area units, and is a member of the National Eagle Scout Association. His dedication to selfless service has earned him numerous accolades, including the Order of the Arrow, District Award of Merit, and Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
In his personal life, Mr. Glenister plans to write a book and share his experiences with his wife by visiting places that have inspired him throughout his career.
