SUWANEE, GA, November 12, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jeremy Gilden has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Gilden, chief executive officer of the Proton Referral Network, has dedicated 12 years to advancing international healthcare policies and clinical pathways for patient care. For more than a decade, he has overseen the development of new proton therapy centers through Proton International, a provider of advanced radiation therapy for the treatment of cancer. In his role, Mr. Gilden collaborates with healthcare partners to establish new centers and works with country managers worldwide to facilitate access to proton therapy for patients in regions lacking local treatment options. In countries such as Turkey, Brazil, and South Africa, where proton therapy facilities are unavailable, he further assists patients in finding treatment facilities, coordinating logistics and travel, and obtaining necessary government approvals for out-of-country healthcare coverage.
In addition to his role at the Proton Referral Network, Mr. Gilden has served since 2020 as director of sales and business development at HTI-Sports Diagnostics. He is also the chief operating officer of Terra di Siena USA and project development manager at Healthcare Technologies International, positions he has held since 2013. Previously, he was president of Colonial Graduate Services LLC, a class ring and graduation specialist at Herff Jones, and an assistant trainer at DialAmerica Marketing.
Mr. Gilden's expertise in international healthcare is widely recognized. He considers his most significant achievement to be the successful treatment of the first patient approved by the Turkish government in 2017; this pivotal moment demonstrated the potential for making a global impact. The patient, a goat farmer from a mountain village, received life-saving treatment for his brain tumor in the United States, with the government covering the costs. This experience deeply impacted Mr. Gilden, motivating him to further develop the treatment pathways, raise awareness, and collaborate with governments to extend opportunities to others in need.
Mr. Gilden's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in speech communications from the University of Georgia, which he earned in 2008. He also holds a high school diploma from Chattahoochee High School, obtained in 1999. He attributes his success to perseverance and prioritizing the well-being of others, believing that actions benefiting people can be turned into viable business strategies.
Throughout his career, Mr. Gilden has been involved with various civic-minded organizations such as the Shepherd Spinal Center in Atlanta, Georgia and Refugee Family Services in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He was recognized as Salesperson of the Year in 2009 for his outstanding performance. Mr. Gilden has set ambitious goals for the future: securing at least three additional government contracts in countries where public health insurance includes coverage for proton therapy, even if they currently lack local facilities. This significant undertaking will be actively pursued in South America with the aim of establishing the first proton therapy center south of the equator.
