Born in Hollywood, Michael P. Farah grew up as a child actor. After graduating from the University of California in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts in speech communication, he began his professional career in finance. By the time he was 27, he was the youngest senior vice president on Wall Street.
Having established himself as a powerful player on Wall Street, Mr. Farah opened his firm, Farah Private Wealth Management LLC, in 2005. As the company's managing director, he handles client accounts investments, providing advice on financial matters and keeping individuals abreast of changes in the industry. In addition, he is the owner of Michael Farah Wines, a winery he established in 2012 in Napa Valley, California. Previously, he founded Platinum Entertainment Productions and hosted On The Town With Mike Farah from 1992 to 1999.
Mr. Farah is proud to have been named a five-star manager several times, achieving the highest level of success in the finance industry. He has been featured in The Wall Street Journal and received the Top Financial Adviser Award in 2023. Since 2022, he has acted as the honorary mayor of Balboa, California, and is an executive producer of the Hollywood French Festival.
Alongside his successful career in finance, Mr. Farah is a philanthropist. He is involved with the Celebrity Ranch, the largest children's charity ranch in the world. The ranch is operated by the Celebrity Foundation for Children, a 501(c)(3) public charity committed to the health, welfare and education of children. As one of the foundation's founders, Mr. Farah provides financial resources so the charity can continue offering valuable services to children across the United States. In addition, he founded the Michael and Christine Farah Family Foundation alongside his wife, and each year, they fund the foundation with a donation of $1 million. Extending his civic generosity outside the state of California, he serves as the chairman of a United States national monument in Washington, DC, and the chairman of the American Polo Association Worldwide.
Reflecting on his career, Mr. Farah is grateful for the support of his mentor, Danny Thomas, the founder of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. At 16, Mr. Farah met Mr. Thomas and became his personal assistant, continuing in the role throughout his college years and early career. He remains active with St. Jude's as a volunteer, raising $1 million annually.
