His extensive experience in employee engagement and organizational diagnostics research and consulting were important in his work as a principal research scientist for CEB's Talent Management Labs and as a senior research fellow with Valtera Corporation. From 1982 to 2003, Dr. Schneider was professor of organizational psychology and business management at the University of Maryland, where he is Professor Emeritus.
An expert in his field, Dr. Schneider earned a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in business administration from Alfred University in 1960. Subsequently, he expanded his professional experience by completing an MBA in industrial psychology from the University of the City of New York and a PhD in psychology from the University of Maryland.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Dr. Schneider aligns himself with the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the Academy of Management, the American Marketing Association, and the International Association of Applied Psychology. Outside of his professional endeavors and affiliations, Dr. Schneider contributed to his community as the president of the men's club at Temple Sinai.
In addition to his professional expertise, Dr. Schneider is the author of numerous publications and 15 books, including "Organizational Climate and Culture: An Introduction to Theory, Research and Practice (2nd ed.)." with M.G. Ehrhart and W.H. Macey.
Dr. Schneider's achievements in Organizational Psychology have been recognized with numerous awards, including the Distinguished Scientific Contribution Awards from the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the Academy of Management's Human Resources Management and Organizational Behavior Divisions.
While hard work and dedication have propelled him to great heights in his career, Dr. Schneider attributes his success to the unwavering support of his family and the wonderful colleagues with whom he has worked.
