Mr. Mixer is a retired computer repair expert and religious services professional who has remained active as a freelance blogger since 2022. During his career, he has garnered success through various roles. Most notably, Mr. Mixer maintained a successful business for over 25 years as the owner and founder of Ron Mixer Computer Repair from 1994 to 2022, specializing in all aspects of hardware and software issues.
In addition to his lengthy career in entrepreneurship, Mr. Mixer led a joyous tenure in ministry that spanned decades. In 2004, he became the senior and founding pastor at Triumphant Life Church in Lonsdale and Faribault, Minnesota, which he ran until 2013. Additionally, Mr. Mixer was an interim pastor for the Minnesota District Council Assemblies of God in 2014.
Born in Minneapolis, Mr. Mixer studied locally, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and pastoral studies from Northcentral University in 1977. Subsequently, he received a Master of Ministry in Pastoral Studies from International Seminary in Florida in 1983. Moreover, Mr. Mixer completed coursework in business administration at the University of Phoenix. In 1977, the Assemblies of God certified his ordination and licensed pastoral duties.
In addition to his professional roles, Mr. Mixer has been actively involved with several civic-minded organizations. From 2023 to 2024, he was the program quality director for Toastmasters International, District 16, in Oklahoma. He has been serving as the director since 2024. As a mentor for the nonprofit, Mr. Mixer has guided many individuals in their personal and professional development. His goals for the organization include starting eight new clubs in 2024.
Among other community involvement, Mr. Mixer has been affiliated with his local chamber of commerce, serving in several officer roles including Chamber President and an event called Christmas in October. Previously, he was highly influential as a Representative and then Associate Director with the American Bible Society from 1988 to 2000. His role involved developing and promoting Bible reading programs to be shared by the organization's volunteers.
Mr. Mixer is also an accomplished author with several publications, including "Disturbed Thinking: One-Hundred-Forty-Two Musings on the Bible," "Fruitful Living: A Study of the Fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5." Mr. Mixer has two new books in process "Nine Principles for a Fruitful Career" and "Gather That Harvest," and has begun a new project entitled "Perseverance." In recognition of his civic involvement, Mr. Mixer received the District Director's Award from Toastmasters in 2023 and Toastmasters International District Program Quality Award in 2024, and just recently their highest recognition, the Distinguished Toastmaster Award.
Mr. Mixer's dedication to ministry and community service continues to inspire those around him as he pursues new opportunities to share his knowledge and expertise. Eager for future opportunities, he is working on his next book and aims to reposition "Fruitful Living" to better serve his business clientele. He is also exploring conducting business seminars for corporate audiences based on insights from his books.
