Before her current position, Ms. O'Mara served as the Chief Nursing Officer at MGM Healthcare from 2018 to 2024. During her tenure, she was responsible for overseeing clinical operations across multiple facilities, implementing stabilization plans for underperforming centers, and improving survey outcomes. Her efforts led to the removal of several facilities from the special-focused candidate list by increasing clinical oversight and conducting regular rounds. This resulted in better care for residents and higher performance levels for the facilities.
From 2010 to 2018, Ms. O'Mara was a senior clinical operations consultant at Aurora Cares LLC DBA Tara Cares. In this role, she provided expert guidance on clinical operations, developed strategies for improving patient care, and supported facilities in achieving regulatory compliance. Her innovative approach earned her the Clinical Operations Consultant of the Year for Innovation Award in 2017.
Ms. O'Mara's academic background includes a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Leadership and Administration from Capella University, which she completed in 2018. She attributes her success to the valuable guidance of her mentors, who have provided extensive knowledge and support throughout her career. Emphasizing patient-centric discussions and maintaining a strong support system for her team have also been central to her achievements.
Ms. O'Mara maintains membership in Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and NLSL (National Society of Leadership and Success), and contributes to civic activities by serving on advisory panels for the American Heart Association, Vohra Wound Physicians, and Healthcare Academy. Additionally, she volunteers through her church and is a donor to Women's Another Chance.
