Before establishing her own firm, Ms. Frutig practiced her skills at the law offices of Thomas R, Frutig Co,. LPA or as a sole practitioner. After a hiatus wherein she managed a growing family, she honed her skills at Seeley, Savidge, Ebert & Gourash Co., LPA from 2001 to 2011. Her eventual decision to transition into private practice was driven by a desire for greater flexibility and the opportunity to offer more personalized legal services.
Ms. Frutig's career is underpinned by a strong educational and employment foundation. She earned her Juris Doctor from the College of Law at Cleveland State University in 1983, following a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Connecticut College in 1967. In the interim she managed the office of a brass water works manufacturing company and worked as a financial analyst and administrative assistant in two large Cleveland bank trust departments She is currently affiliated with the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. She singles out her determination, commitment to excellence and integrity as pivotal indicators of her success.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Ms. Frutig has been actively involved in civic organizations. After being engaged as a board member in two child-caring agencies, she served as Chairman of the board for Children's Services, Inc. from 1992 to 1994 and Chairman of the Board of Cleveland Christian Home from 2012 to 2016. She has been an active board member in various committees of the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging for over four decades, personally interested in services for the elderly and their caregivers and the renovation of the former Margaret Wagner House Nursing Home into 80 affordable apartments for seniors. It is not the width of participation but the depth that connects her to her undertakings.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Frutig enjoys spending time with her family and her "lady gang", reading, photography and crafting gifts for friends and family. Looking ahead, she envisions continuing her involvement in community initiatives aimed at assisting the elderly while also dedicating time to the care and education of her grandchildren.
