CHOCOWINITY, NC, November 21, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thomas E. Kraemer, BS, MBA, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Kraemer's career is marked by distinguished tenures in the aerospace and military sectors. He retired in 2009 after a notable tenure at Goodrich Aerostructures, (formerly Rohr Industries, now Raytheon). He began his career as a Quality Assurance Engineer in 1980 and advanced new techniques in data collection and tool design. His demonstrated management skills led to a promotion to Material Review Board and Corrective Action Board Manager. His expertise in quality control and engineering principles led to his subsequent advancement to positions in Program Operations and Subcontract Operations Management. In this capacity Mr. Kraemer had oversight responsibility for material, manufacturing operations and all support functions to ensure on time delivery of engine nacelle components. His leadership and strategic oversight were instrumental in maintaining operational efficiency and meeting production schedules with a quality product. His commitment to excellence and attention to detail were key factors in his professional growth. He completed his aerospace career with a five-year assignment as Project Engineer at a supplier facility in France where he had oversite responsibility for the upgrade of over 700 thrust reversers as well as the production of new reversers.
Mr. Kraemer's professional journey is also deeply intertwined with his military service. Upon graduating with his undergraduate degree, he received his commission in the U.S. Navy, where he served for over 10 years. He was an EA-3B Skywarrior navigator in an Electronic Warfare Squadron. His service included deployments to Vietnam, multiple 7th Fleet aircraft carriers and other Pacific Theater locations, providing reconnaissance and early warning threat support. He gained invaluable experience in planning an operation, establishing contingencies, and execution and completion of the plan. Following his active duty, Mr. Kraemer continued to serve in the U. S. Navy Reserve for over 11 years and retired as a Commander.
Mr. Kraemer's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1970 and Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University in 1977. The combination of technical expertise and business acumen gained through these programs has been instrumental in his ability to navigate complex challenges throughout his career.
In addition to his roles at Goodrich Aerostructures and his military service, Mr. Kraemer was actively involved with The National Management Association chapter at Goodrich, serving in multiple positions and president for two years. He volunteered for several years for the "Little Race for Little People" to raise money for the neonatal care center at Rady Children's Hospital, San Diego. He volunteered for five years, two as house captain, for Christmas in April, (now Rebuilding Together) refurbishing homes for the elderly and disabled. He was a volunteer at the Covid-19 vaccine Beaufort County call center and currently makes deliveries for Meals on Wheels and volunteers at charity bingo events in Washington, North Carolina.
