Mr. Berryman is a distinguished executive as President and CEO of Berryman and Company management consultants. He is formerly a partner at Cunningham, Short, Berryman & Associates Inc. Since assuming the position, he has been a consultant to more than 400 clients in both the private and public sectors. He is past CFO and COO of Progress Financial Management Company. Currently he is president of Berryman Properties a Real Estate Management Company in Los Angeles.
Mr. Berryman's earlier roles include serving as the chief of financial planning and budgets at Computer Sciences Corporation in El Segundo from 1966 to 1968, where he honed his skills in financial oversight and strategic planning.
Before these positions, Mr. Berryman also contributed to NBC Universal Media LLC in Burbank as an administrator for television production budgets and business affairs from 1964 to 1966 and gained valuable experience at the North American Aviation Company in the previous year. In addition to his corporate roles, he has been an adjunct professor of business administration at Pepperdine University and also an adjunct professor at the University of Redlands where he received the Excellence in Teaching Award.
Professionally, Mr. Berryman is affiliated with the American Association of University Professors, the National Society of Accountants, and the American Accounting Association. He is a Certified Management Consultant, holding membership in the Institute of Management Consultants, and he is a member of the Exit Planning Institute, where he is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor.
Mr. Berryman's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science from Pepperdine University, earned in 1962, and a Master of Business Administration from the same institution, obtained in 1967. He also completed an executive program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Berryman attributes his success to his education, believing that he would not have achieved his job and position without it. His education has also provided him with the tools to grow professionally and has enabled him to give back to the community and support further education for others.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Berryman has made significant contributions to civic organizations. He served on various boards, including Progress Labs, California Federal Savings and Loan Association's advisory board, California State Senate Committee of Small Business's advisory committee and the Kedren Community Health and Acute Psychiatric Center's board of directors. He currently sits on the Pepperdine University Board and the Board of Visitors at the Graziadio Business School at Pepperdine University. He has been Chairman of the Board of the March of Dimes, Los Angeles Division, and he has sat on the Crespi Carmelite High School Board of Directors.
In his personal life, Mr. Berryman is dedicated to giving back to his community through mentoring young MBA students with a focus on African American males. He aims to increase college education pursuits among minority youth by tutoring, mentoring and counselling them. He and his family have endowed scholarships to assist young people achieve their educational goals.
