Mr. Trojan is a distinguished expert in oil exploration, renowned for his groundbreaking work in deepwater exploration. With a career spanning more than 45 years, he has made significant contributions to the discovery of nearly two dozen oil and gas fields in deepwater locations, amounting to an estimated three billion barrels of oil. Mr. Trojan's career began with a strong academic foundation. He earned a Bachelor of Science in geology from Westminster University in 1975, followed by a Master of Science in geology from Oregon State University in 1978. His early success can be attributed to the support of his parents and the valuable guidance of a great professor during his graduate studies. He later served as a director at Brenham Oil & Gas Corporation from 2010 to 2011 and a board advisor at Vanco Exploration from 2011 to 2012. Additionally, he was a non-executive director at Chariot Oil & Gas Ltd. in London from 2014 to 2016 and a trustee at Westminster College from 2015 to 2021.
Additionally, Mr. Trojan has been serving as a trustee associate for the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) Foundation since 2019, a position he still maintains. This organization supports geology education and scientific activities by providing grants, scholarships and support to students, educators and professionals worldwide. He has been a member of the AAPG for over four decades.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Trojan holds an EMT-Basic certification from Emergency Medical Services at Houston Community College. He attributes much of his professional success to the opportunities and training he received and the experience he gained during his tenure at Shell.

He contributes to the National Ability Center in Park City, an organization that offers recreational opportunities for individuals with special needs, and also handles the seasonal relocation of dogs from Texas to Park City.
