Mr. Womack's professional journey began with his service in the United States Army, where he served for over two decades, covering both the officer and enlisted side of operations. His military career included roles such as talent management task force member in strategic communications from 2019 to 2023 and company commander of the 3rd Infantry Regiment "The Old Guard" from 2017 to 2018, where he played a significant role in the design of the custom M17 pistols carried by the Tomb Guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He also held positions as battalion logistics officer and company executive officer within the army, showcasing his leadership and logistical skills. Notably, he was one of only three individuals in the Army's history to have a unit specifically created for him, allowing him to work remotely from North Dallas to Washington, DC. Early in his career he deployed to Afghanistan and twice to Iraq as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division.
Mr. Womack draws upon his military background to help others through podcasting. After losing a friend to suicide in 2014, he was inspired to begin "So There I Was…," a podcast featuring interviews with veterans from various eras and military branches. The show provides a platform for veterans to share stories and find laughter, with the goal of reducing veteran suicide rates.
Prior to his military service, Mr. Womack gained valuable experience in various civilian roles. From 2000 to 2003, he worked as a warehouse manager for merchandise with the Dallas Mavericks, followed by a position as tour director at Texas Motor Speedway from 1999 to 2000. Earlier in his career, he served as a warehouse manager at Classroom Phonics from 1995 to 1998.
Mr. Womack's educational background includes a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Post University, completed in 2018 and 2010 respectively. He also pursued coursework at the University of North Texas from 1998 to 2002 after graduating from Big Spring High School in 1998. He is a certified coach through Coach Training EDU and holding various mediation certifications from Manousso Mediation & Arbitration LLC, all obtained in 2023.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Womack is actively involved in civic organizations. He serves as a marketing volunteer for Loyal Drums and is a board member of the Lead Now Initiative.
