The U.S. Department of State awarded her a foreign language area studies fellowship in 2004, and she served as a Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellow at Physicians for Social Responsibility from 2002 to 2003. Dr. Dunigan has held a concurrent position as a senior lecturer at the Carnegie Mellon Institute for Strategy and Technology at Carnegie Mellon University since 2014. Her academic accomplishments are foundational to her teaching and include a Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics from Vassar College, which she earned in 2002, and a PhD in government, international relations and military studies from Cornell University, which she proudly completed in 2008.
