Ana Maricela Delvalle Commemorates a Career in Military Service

Ms. Delvalle is a distinguished retired military officer currently working as a management policy analyst with the Office of the Secretary of Defense at the U.S. Department of Defense, where she has been serving since 2024. Previously, she held the position of lead secretariat executive assistant at the U.S. Space Force in 2024 and served as a human resources consultant in the same year.

Ms. Delvalle's extensive career in the U.S. Marine Corps spanned from 2001 to 2024, culminating in her retirement as a highly respected officer. Between 2021 and 2024, she served as a manpower officer, legal officer and protocol officer. Notably, she was the first female company commander to integrate two companies in Quantico, Virginia, from 2020 until 2021. This historic achievement involved merging Service and Military Police companies under Marine Corps Installations, National Capital Region, Marine Corps Base Quantico, overseeing a company of 886 total personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic.

From 2017 to 2020, Ms. Delvalle held multiple roles, including MCINCR MCBQ adjutant, protocol, voting and postal officer, base human resources officer, and was appointed regional victim and witness liaison. Her earlier positions included serving as a manpower officer, legal officer and suicide prevention officer between 2014 and 2017. She began her military career as an administration and legal clerk from 2001 until 2013 before advancing through various positions such as administrative chief, assistant instructor CMC special projects team and selected for the Marine Corps Enlisted to Commissioning Education Program.

Bolstering Ms. Delvalle's accomplishments in the military have been her academic background and accreditations. She earned a bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs, minoring in Spanish literature, from Norwich University in 2013 and completed coursework as an international protocol officer at the Protocol School of Washington. Her certifications include being a veteran career readiness program alumna from FourBlock, a certified suicide prevention officer on the Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale through USMC Consult and Artificial Intelligence Tools trading through Mindvalley's Mastery Program. Her dedication to understanding critical issues faced by young adults she mentored has driven her research into character development and resilience during crises, emphasizing spiritual health. This passion is reflected in her work as a suicide prevention officer and her commitment to developing programs and graduate research she is currently working on that address these challenges.

Throughout her military career, Ms. Delvalle's contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, including outstanding military service recognition at the White House in 2018, U.S. Marine Corps achievement medals, commendation medals, good conduct medals and unit awards. She is also an active member of industry-related organizations such as the Women Veterans Association, the Marine Corps Mustang Association and the National Naval Officers Association.

In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Delvalle is passionate about being deeply involved in civic activities. She volunteers at local shelters and churches, supports Compassion International Inc. and coaches individuals in need.
