Earlier in her career, Ms. Worsham El was a trauma therapist at La Rabida Children's Hospital from 2016 to 2018 and founder of Infinity Consulting between 2014 and 2017. Her dedication to helping others was also evident in her work as an adolescent therapist at Peer Services Inc. in Evanston from 2015 to 2016 and as a child welfare specialist with Lutheran Social Services of Illinois in Des Plaines in 2015.
Among Ms. Worsham El's other notable roles, she was the children's program director at Family Rescue in the Greater Chicago Area in 2014. She was also the co-head counselor for the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund's Summer Caddy Program in 2013 and a building manager and site coordinator for high school mentor programs at the University of Chicago from 2008 to 2013.
In preparation for her future, Ms. Worsham El received a Bachelor of Science in psychology, cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago in 2011. She furthered her education with a master's degree in social service administration from the University of Chicago in 2014. Additionally, Ms. Worsham El holds several professional designations as a licensed clinical social worker, certified family trauma professional and trauma-sensitive yoga facilitator.
Ms. Worsham El's commitment to civic engagement is demonstrated through her role as an advisory board member for the Treatment Not Trauma Campaign in Chicago and her previous service as a court-appointed special advocate with CASA of Cook County.
In light of her contributions, Ms. Worsham El was recognized with awards such as Top Health Care Provider of 2017 by the International Association of Health Care Professionals and an accolade for executive summary in innovation.
Ms. Worsham El plans to create an affordable wellness retreat to heal intergenerational trauma and foster healthy family systems.
