Dylan's journey in accounting began in 2012 as an auditing intern at Mohler, Nixon & Williams, where he first developed a passion for building and maintaining business relationships. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of the Pacific in 2013, he joined Moss Adams LLP. Within two years, he was promoted from a business assurance staff to a senior, a position he held for four years. During his tenure, he gained extensive hands-on experience with SEC filings, global audit projects, and employee benefit plan audits. His time at Moss Adams was instrumental in shaping his understanding of complex regulatory environments, including US GAAP, IFRS, and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
In 2018, Dylan transitioned to Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP as an Audit Manager, where he took on diverse responsibilities that extended beyond traditional audit work. He played a key role in developing firm-wide methodologies and led teams on various engagements, ranging from small private entities to larger public companies. A highlight of his time at Frank, Rimerman was his involvement in a firm-wide coaching culture initiative, where he guided teams in the San Jose and San Francisco offices to foster stronger leadership and mentoring skills through coaching compared to supervising. Which, in May 2017, the coaching culture was recognized by the Journal of Accountancy. Dylan also spearheaded technical trainings, preparing employees for the challenges of evolving accounting standards and best practices.
From 2022 to 2024, Dylan served as the President of Assurance Services at the S|CPA Network, overseeing audit practices across five firms. In this role, he managed a team of more than 70 professionals and led the network's efforts to implement cutting-edge solutions, such as cloud-based technologies and international team integration. His leadership was instrumental in significantly expanding the firm's workload and ensuring that engagements met rigorous quality standards. During his tenure, Dylan developed a comprehensive quality control manual and guided the firm through a successful peer review, achieving a clean report in 2023. These achievements underscored his ability to drive innovation while maintaining the integrity of financial reporting.
