As an instructor, he oversaw the quality assurance of product services provided to government clients, in addition to his teaching duties. Alongside his work with VT-SGI, he founded T.E. Willis LLC, a research company that secures local, state, and federal government contracts and seeks out scholarships and grants to conduct mental health, spiritual counseling, youth health access, and more. He is currently seeking education opportunity in higher education and administrative and general support services with government agencies such as FEMA/Department of Homeland Security.
Before establishing his firm, Dr. Willis gained valuable expertise in law enforcement as an airport police officer patrolman for the Kansas City Missouri International Airport Police Department, where he ensured that 100 independent cab drivers complied with their contracts through the Special Unit/Surveillance Division. During the early stages of his career, Dr. Willis also honed his expertise in education as a teacher at Career College and substitute teacher for the Wellsville, Baldwin, Gardner, and Lawrence Kansas School Districts, through which he taught music, general science, biology, English, Spanish, and algebra to elementary, middle, and high school students.
An expert in his field, Dr. Willis earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1999. Subsequently, he received a Master of Science in Administration and Justice and Security from the University of Phoenix and a PhD in General Psychology from Northcentral University. Over the years, he has furthered his education, earning certifications in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL), Microsoft Office, social and behavioral responsibility in conducting research, grant proposal development, and peer/substance abuse counseling.
In conjunction with his work, Dr. Willis disciples Christ, while aligning himself with Prince Hall Freemasonry, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Shriners, Knights Templar, Holy Royal Arch Mason, and Psi Chi International. Given his outstanding achievements in his educational and professional life, he was honored through the U.S. Fulbright Specialist Program, the National Honor Society, and Sigma Alpha Pi, the Northcentral University chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success.
