Between 1989 and 2017, he held multiple roles, including deputy director of applied research for the Office of Technical Service, deputy division chief for the Center for Cyber Intelligence, special communications program manager for the Communications Directorate, as well as a systems engineer and technical director while assigned to the National Security Agency. Throughout his career, Mr. Hatfield led the development and transition of numerous cutting-edge technologies.
An expert in his field, Mr. Hatfield holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, specializing in computer engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, specializing in computer engineering and artificial intelligence from Purdue University. Subsequently, Mr. Hatfield expanded his professional knowledge by completing various certifications through the CIA and private industry.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Hatfield aligns himself with the Tau Beta Pi Association and the Experimental Aircraft Association. In conjunction with his work, he has contributed to his community as a coach and mentor with FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), and as a volunteer with Optimist International.
