PALM SPRINGS, CA, December 10, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Edin Dino Zonic has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing on more than 30 years of contributions to the music industry as a conductor, composer, producer and director, Mr. Zonic has distinguished himself in many roles and has served as the president of United Through Music since 2003. With the aim of fostering unity between individuals and nations around the world, United Through Music delivers live concerts starring performers from various countries in pursuit of the same goal.

In his role as the company's president, Mr. Zonic leads all musical initiatives and produces and directs performances in addition to composing his own works. A survivor of the war of Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he channeled the pain and knowledge drawn from his experiences into creating music that could provide hope and healing for others. His storied career includes performances at the opening ceremony for the Goodwill Games in Lake Placid, the Dayton Peace Award ceremony honoring United States President Bill Clinton and producing the Sarajevo Philharmonic, a gala international peace event that brought together over 400 musicians from Austria, Germany, Croatia, Russia, the United States, Albania and more.

Well regarded for his professional longevity, Mr. Zonic began his professional music career as a composer in residence for the State of Bosnia and Herzegovina and City of Sarajevo. Moving into the world of teaching, he became a professor of harmony and orchestra at the High Music Conservatory School. He then produced, composed and conducted the popular musical "The Circle," which was performed in famous concert halls and theaters across Europe and the United States for five years. From 2002 to 2006, he served as a conductor and director for the Stivers Philharmonic Orchestra for Dayton public schools in Ohio. During this time, he put on a series of concerts that brought orchestras from all over the United States and international guests together and garnered features on Fox, NBC, the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and more.

Mr. Zonic continued his career as a producer, conductor and composer for Red Oak Productions from 2003 to 2007 and also began his tenure with the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra in 2005. He began his time at United Through Music in 1995 as a conductor and composer, becoming the company's president eight years later and staging spectacular events ever since.

Even before venturing onto his vocational path, Mr. Zonic pursued his passion from a young age and obtained a strong musical education. After earning a bachelor's degree in 1-A class composition from the University of Sarajevo Academy of Music in 1991, he continued his academic endeavors by completing master's coursework in the same field in 1992.

To commemorate his accomplishments in the music industry and beyond, Mr. Zonic has been recognized with a host of accolades. He was honored with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) Award by the American Symphony League in 2002, followed by the 40 Under 40 Award from the Business Journal Awards in 2004. For his efforts to unite the world through the power of music, he received a reward from the Golden Karma Awards which recognizes community leaders and celebrities for outstanding philanthropic initiatives.

Though he counts a host of career highlights and achievements, Mr. Zonic is proud and grateful to have survived the war of Sarajevo and found the inspiration to create music and bring people together for decades. He is also honored to have performed at the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center in Dayton, Ohio, where he brought six orchestras together and successfully combined them into one memorable unit. He attributes his success to his parents, who provided love, support and strong values and continue to be a primary influence in all he does.

Looking to the future with optimism, Mr. Zonic intends to do all he can to remain healthy and continue sharing his music while spreading the message of peace and unity to as many people as possible. He also enjoys mentally relaxing through cooking and hopes to expand his culinary repertoire. With his unique combination of experience, empathy and perseverance, he is well-positioned to continue cultivating a lasting legacy in the music industry and beyond for many years to come.
