He works as the Director of Full Truck Load North America at Gebrüder Weiss, a 500 year old, privately held leading global transport and logistics company based in Austria.
LAKE FOREST, IL, December 10, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kevin Sendre has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Well-regarded for his expertise in transportation and supply chain services, Mr. Sendre lends nearly 20 years of industry experience to his chosen field. He works as the director of Full Truck Load North America at Gebrüder Weiss, a 500 year old, privately held leading global transport and logistics company based in Austria.
In his role at Gebrüder Weiss, Mr. Sendre spearheads the growth and development of the company's North American road transport services and promotes the global range of solutions offered to customers. His areas of expertise include team building, process enhancement, risk alleviation and the seamless incorporation of leading-edge technology.
Known for his professional longevity, Mr. Sendre's current position is the culmination of close to two decades of experience. He worked as a financial advisor for Hoopis Financial Group at Northwestern Mutual before moving to C.H. Robinson, the world's largest 3rd party supply chain company, where he would serve in multiple roles over the course of 16 years. Beginning his tenure as an account executive, he was promoted to capacity account manager in 2008 and then ascended to the role of senior carrier sales account manager in 2010, where he led the company from strength to strength until he joined Gebrüder Weiss in 2023.
Mr. Sendre's performance in the field was born of his equally impressive academic pursuits. He earned a bachelor's degree in telecommunications with a minor in business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in 2006.
Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Mr. Sendre is passionate about improving his community and helping others. He is a volunteer for Feed My Starving Children, a role in which he and others pack nutritious meals to be sent to children in need all over the world. He has served as a head coach with the Lincolnshire Sports Association Travel Baseball Program since 2020, and has volunteered his time with LSA coaching kids in flag football, basketball, soccer, and house baseball. Kevin is very passionate about sports and loves developing youth athletes to reach their full potential. Also remaining aware of developments affecting his professional field, he has been a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals since 2023.
Though he has amassed many memorable accomplishments throughout his career, Mr. Sendre is especially proud to have helped Gebrüder Weiss improve its North American operations upon his arrival as a director. The company lacked the resources and technology needed to perform some of its most important tasks, so he introduced effective new operation processes, facilitated key partnerships with other companies and helped longtime employees realize they could work more efficiently with the right tools. Watching his team thrive in their work and reach new heights has been a highly rewarding experience for him.
In accounting for his success, Mr. Sendre gives much of the credit to those who have helped him along his career path. His first boss at C.H. Robinson, Eric Simon, was pivotal in encouraging him to leave his comfort zone and engage in face-to-face meetings in order to build working relationships. Another important mentor has been his father-in-law, Tom Scott, who regularly shares forward-thinking ideas and has helped drive Mr. Sendre in pursuing his professional goals. Furthermore, he is grateful to his two brothers, Bryan and David Sendre, who have mentored him throughout his entire life and inspired his belief that he could achieve anything he set his mind to.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Sendre hopes to expand his workforce at Gebrüder Weiss and place a stronger focus on brokerage services, thus growing the company's reach throughout the North American market. He also plans to continue building relationships and fostering a positive working environment among his staff and the executive team. With his combination of experience, knowledge and people skills, he is uniquely positioned to accomplish all of his future goals and more.
