While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Shabo takes the most pride in serving as financial director for municipal agencies at the Thorn Creek Basin Sanitary District, running for state representative and securing 25 percent of the votes, being elected by her congressional district to participate in national conventions in 2008, 2012, and 2016, and managing work-study students from Loyola University.
