MILWAUKEE, WI, December 17, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Douglas J. Bates has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Bates has established himself as a prominent figure in the field of wellness and dedicated his career to enhancing the physical and mental well-being of his diverse clientele. Since founding Better Results Personal Training in 2003, he has worked as the sole proprietor to develop a unique approach that combines physical training with psychological and spiritual elements. Mr. Bates's expertise extends to handling dietary factors, mineral deficits and hormonal imbalances, and he emphasizes functional fitness, brain health and anti-aging.

Before launching his small business, Mr. Bates excelled as an influential speaker at various venues, including the Center for Neurological Disorders at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center from 1997 to 2002. During this time, he also served as a conference speaker for the Wisconsin Neurological Society's annual conference from 2001 to 2002. A locally highly lauded 10-year role as guest speaker at the Wisconsin Athletic Club between 1992 and 2002 further solidified Mr. Bates's reputation as an advocate for weight training and physique training.

Mr. Bates is also a member of the Health Educators Alliance, which aligns with his dedication to advancing health education and wellness practices. Notably, his extensive academic accomplishments include a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and this educational background has proven instrumental in shaping Mr. Bates's holistic approach to wellness and his sociological insights into physical training.

Throughout his career, Mr. Bates has received numerous accolades for his achievements in drug-free bodybuilding, weight training and physique training. Between 1996 and 2005, Mr. Bates was awarded six "Best of Class" and four "Overall" "Mr. Natural Wisconsin" titles, those first three occurring in 1996, 1998, and 1999; all three awarded by the National Physique Committee, where Mr. Bates was also honored by being officially deemed "Athletes Representative" by the NPC Wisconsin Chairperson in that third year as recognition for extraordinary leadership over that period. "Not to spite the honor, but out of respect," only weeks later, also in 1999, Mr. Bates chose to switch to the International Natural Bodybuilding Federation, to prophetically support more stringent drug-testing, where he then was awarded the 1999, as well as 2004, and 2005 Mr. Natural Wisconsin titles under that very stringent federation. Skipping competition from 2000 to 2002, Mr. Bates stayed active guest-posing and judging at various drug-tested physique show venues and upon returning to the competitive stage earned an Overall Mr. Tri-State Natural Bodybuilding Champion victory in 2003 prior to the later titles noted above. Mr. Bates's success in these competitions underscores his commitment to promoting natural bodybuilding protocols.

In addition to his professional and fitness endeavors, Mr. Bates contributed to the Amateur Athletic Union as a head adjudicator from 1997 to 2005. He earned this position from the AAU State of Wisconsin Chairperson, and also served as five-year head adjudicator at the prestigious outdoor Mr. Wisconsin Summerfest Physique Contest. Mr. Bates's involvement in this distinct role highlights his commitment to promoting drug-free bodybuilding and athletic excellence.

Beyond his wellness pursuits, Mr. Bates has maintained involvement in civic-minded organizations such as The Salvation Army where in 1988 he assisted with food preparation for shelter residents, and volunteered as "Hercules" for a Muskego, WI parade float for a young girl's dance troupe parade performance, in 1998, and answered on camera questions and participated in weight-lifting and physique modeling for various local television news segments. Through his coaching enterprise, he aims to persist in guiding individuals toward self-empowerment through a holistic approach that encompasses subcellular, cellular, gland, cognitive, spinal, and mitochondrial and energetic wellness, as well as microbiome, and lymphatic, and postural wellness, and looking toward the future, Mr. Bates will explore the development of a signature website and engage in various forms of on-stage public informative & motivational speaking to further promote this philosophy.
