Ms. Brown has extensive expertise in program management, aerospace and industrial fabrication, with a career in the industry spanning over 25 years. As the Strategic Program Director II at Vigor LLC, she oversees multiple project portfolios, all aspects of project execution including earned value, schedule, and quality and risk management. She also ensures customer engagement throughout the project lifecycle and encompasses full responsibility for profit and loss across the Nuclear, Commercial and Aerospace divisions at Vigor.
Introduced to aviation while serving her country in the U.S. Navy, Ms. Brown was an Avionics technician from 1993 to 1998 in Fort Worth, Texas. Her military service introduced her to aircraft maintenance and general purpose test equipment repair and calibration, igniting her passion. After five years of service, Ms. Brown transitioned to the civilian sector, joining GTE-Electronic repair Services for a short stint as a calibration technician before she was hired into Rockwell Collins as the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Site Operations Leader from 2002 to 2005. She then moved to Boeing in Everett, Washington, where she was initially hired as an Industrial engineer in 2005.
During her tenure at Boeing, Ms. Brown held several progressive roles, including Operations manager from 2007 to 2010, Production Engineering manager between 2008 and 2012 and Engineering Operations manager in Charleston, South Carolina, from 2011 to 2014. In her multiple roles at Boeing, she was pivotal in the 787 Program start up in South Carolina. She was also instrumental in both Production and Engineering start-up and oversaw the building and delivery of Boeing airplanes outside of the Puget Sound. Furthermore, Ms. Brown coordinated and managed the first engineering safety reviews and certification of the first airplane produced in South Carolina in 2012 through the Federal Aviation Administration.
Exiting Boeing in 2014, Ms. Brown joined Lam Research Corporation in Tualatin, Oregon. She was the Director of Manufacturing engineering until 2018 before being promoted to Senior Director of Global Production Engineering, responsible for all global manufacturing process & systems from 2018 to 2023. Ms. Brown introduced and championed 3D-based engineering at Lam Research Corporation, significantly contributing to the organization's technological advancements. She was the pioneer of the digital transformation and Lam and was instrumental in the selection and implementation planning for a new Manufacturing operations Management (MOM) System across 6 networked factories.
Ms. Brown obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration and management from Columbia College in 1998, an Executive Master of Business Administration in engineering and technology from the University of Dallas in 2001, a Master of Science in organizational development and leadership from Capella University in 2013. She also has several credits towards her Bachelors of Science in electrical and electronics and engineering from The Citadel and Portland State University. She also holds several professional designations, including a master's certificate in project management from The George Washington University and project management professional certification from the Orange County chapter of the Project Management Institute Inc.
Ms. Brown has been involved in several industry-related organizations such as the Project Management Institute Inc. She recently served as a volunteer guest speaker for the Association of Women in the Metal Industries and actively engages with local STEM programs throughout her community. Civically, Ms. Brown is active with several veterans' organizations and inclusion programs. In her spare time, Ms. Brown works with the youth as a Level 2 certified Olympic Weightlifting coach and is an award-winning weightlifter herself.
Honoring her success, Ms. Brown received recognition from Boeing for first-flight certification and several other accolades from Lam Research Corporation. As a competitive Masters weightlifter, she has also garnered multiple World, Pan-American and National championship titles. She has received some of the highest level of awards in her sport and set world records for her age and weight class in 2021 that held until late 2024. Ms. Brown's dedication to self-discipline, hard work, and being a role model for her children has driven her success. She remains eager about her future and obtaining higher levels of leadership within her field.
