During his tenure at SoFi, he, alongwith his team, built the ML Platform from scratch. A standout project involved engineering data quality monitoring for models in production systems, and he counts this as one of his most noteworthy accomplishments thus far. Before his successful tenure with SoFi, Mr. Garg excelled as a Senior Software Development engineer at Workday Inc. from 2019 to 2022, where he built several critical ML models like Capacity Forecasting and Payroll Job Anomaly Detection which identifies issues in Payroll rollouts across hundreds of Workday customers across the United States.
Mr. Garg initiated his career at Oracle where he thrived across diverse roles including Project Lead in 2019 and Senior Application Engineer from 2017 to 2019. He also earned valuable experience as an applications engineer at Oracle from 2012 to 2014 and as a senior backend developer at TalentPad in 2015. In each of these distinct positions, Mr. Garg honed his skills and built a solid foundation in software engineering and machine learning, and he attributes his career advancement to hard work and family support.
Mr. Garg's academic background includes a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, from which he graduated in 2012, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stony Brook University, which he proudly completed in 2016. In addition to his formal education, he has obtained several certifications, including the completion of a program in the context of deep neural networks and hyperparameter tuning, regularization and optimization.
Mr. Garg is also an active member of organizations that include the MLOps Community and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He was recently upgraded by the IEEE board to the position of a Senior Member because of his contributions to the world of AI and ML. He also speaks at various AI and ML conferences across the world, most recently Big Data London and MLCon in New York, reflective of his commitment to remain current in the latest industry developments.
