As the department coordinator and construction technology instructor at Fullerton College since 2009, he has been instrumental in teaching various aspects of construction, including concrete, masonry, framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC mechanical systems, contractor law, construction management, and PV solar energy systems. Mr. Keller's role extends beyond instruction, overseeing curriculum development and program expansion to enhance student learning and career opportunities. During his tenure at Fullerton College, Mr. Keller also worked in the field as an engineering services manager at the Disneyland Resort from 2021 to 2023. In this capacity, he managed maintenance construction engineering projects and ensured the seamless operation of the resort's buildings and facades. His leadership skills were previously honed as a facility maintenance professional with the resort's opening of the California Adventure theme park from 2000 through 2015, where he sharpened customer service skills and played a vital role in the triage of critical operational maintenance monitoring for various levels of response then dispatching assignments for disposition within the maintenance call center during the resort's operating schedule. Moreover, Mr. Keller garnered success as a store maintenance representative for the Walt Disney Co.'s national consumer products portfolio of 200 Disney Stores from 2015 to 2016.
Mr. Keller's entrepreneurial spirit was evident early in his career when he owned Classic Image from 1979 to 2000. This venture allowed him to gain valuable experience in business management and customer service.
In preparation for his future, Mr. Keller received several Associate of Science degrees in construction management, inspection, and technology from Fullerton College and a Bachelor of Science in applied technology, business administration, and management from California Southern University. He also holds a California contractor license since 1979, underscoring his extensive knowledge of construction processes, methods and materials.
Mr. Keller's commitment to compliance with industry regulations is evident through his experience in project management and contractor license law. He attributes his success to genuine care for individuals and their career trajectories, striving to foster growth and lifelong learning among his students.
Eager for the future, Mr. Keller has set ambitious goals. He aims to double the size of the construction technology program at Fullerton College while enriching the curriculum. This expansion will involve strategic planning to increase student enrollment and offer comprehensive training resources. Mr. Keller also emphasizes community engagement and partnerships to support program growth and student success. Furthermore, he is keen on creating a sustainable educational environment by training a replacement to ensure continuity in leadership for the construction department and college community.
