Hired in 1966 as a development engineer, he progressed to such positions as engineering group leader, senior buyer, commodity manager, purchasing agent, production and inventory control manager, and purchasing manager. Prior to retiring, Mr. Gruenbaum was a global sourcing engineer, where he maintained responsibility for evaluating and ranking semiconductor suppliers for Motorola Solutions. This role afforded him opportunities to travel abroad to such locations as China, Malaysia, Mexico, Germany and Israel.
