Having previously held similar roles in her field, she was an online lecturer and graduate program director of cybersecurity at Rider University and a professor at Union College, teaching computer science and cybersecurity courses for over two decades. She also was an adjunct professor of cybersecurity at the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2005 to 2012. At the onset of her career, she became the director of instructional technologies at Lehigh Carbon Community College in 1991.
