Mr. Mentch initially began his career as a professional in business and financial services, working as a certified public accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co. for several years. As a result of his exceptional tenure in accounting, he was presented with a Financial Executives Award. However, his love for expression through music never waned and that passion once again led him to focus his time and attention on his music, poetry and writing, which he believes can bring individuals together despite their differences.
As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Mentch pursued a formal education. As a student at the University of Baltimore, he earned a Bachelor of Science in business, accounting, economics and financing, summa cum laude, in 1977. To this end, Mr. Mentch cites his graduation at the top of his class as a career highlight. In addition to his academic credentials, he also achieved his certification as a public accountant. Over the course of his academic career, Mr. Mentch became affiliated with several key organizations, such as Beta Gamma Sigma, Delta Mu Delta and Alpha Chi.
In light of his vastly fulfilling career, Mr. Mentch attributes his success to his continuous honing of his skills in singing, writing and guitar playing.
