Alongside his work with CoxHealth, Dr. Lobati is a civil surgeon for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, through which he screens immigrants coming to the U.S. to ensure they are healthy from communicable diseases before they advance their immigration status to obtain permanent residency or naturalization.
Before establishing himself with CoxHealth, Dr. Lobati worked as an assistant professor of clinical medicine and director of the Travel and Immunization Clinic for the University of Missouri Health Care. Over the years, he has gained valuable expertise in consulting and attending roles with the Missouri Department of Mental Health, the Select Specialty Hospital, the University of Missouri-Columbia, Marion VA Medical Center, the Kansas City Missouri Health Department, Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Board, and Mbingo Baptist Hospital in Cameroon.
An expert in his field, Dr. Lobati earned a bachelor's degree in pre-medicine from the University of Dusseldorf in 1984. Subsequently, he received an MD from the University of Cologne and a diploma in community health and tropical medicine from Heidelberg University. Likewise, he completed an internal medicine residency and an infectious disease fellowship through the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine.
Driven to stay abreast of ongoing industry changes, Dr. Lobati aligns himself with the American College of Physicians, the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the Society of Hospital Medicine, the Royal College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the Missouri State Medical Association. In addition to his professional endeavors and affiliations, Dr. Lobati is deeply committed to community service, aligning himself with Show-Me Mercy and the Southern Cameroon Ambazonia Community, where he has served as a fundraiser, counselor, and psychological support.
