Before joining Kids2, she was an associate at Gardner Groff Greenwald & Villanueva PC from 2016 until 2019, where she further developed her legal acumen and focused most of her attention on working with one of the firm's biggest clients, Kids2. Ms. Gilmer began her career at Brient Globerman LLC, working as an associate between 2014 and 2016 after initially serving as a law clerk from 2013 to 2014. Her early experiences also include an externship at Kids2 in 2014, aninternship with Georgia Lawyers for the Arts in 2013, and with James Hugh Potts II LLC from 2012 until 2013.
Laying a strong foundation for Ms. Gilmer's successful career was her academic journey. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience and behavioral biology from Emory University in 2007, she went on to complete coursework at the Texas Tech University School of Law in 2012 receiving the CALI award for the highest grade in Legal Practice, and was granted a position on the Texas Tech Law Review on her submission to the write-on competition. She subsequently transferred to and earned a Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 2014, where she graduated with honors and was recognized on the dean's list multiple times during her studies. Her academic achievements are complemented by her certification as a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, acquired in 2016.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Gilmer is actively involved in industry-related organizations. She has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 2014 and serves as a board member of the Carolina Patent Trademark Copyright Law Association. Her commitment to intellectual excellence is further demonstrated by her lifetime membership in Mensa International.
