After completing training with Phoenix Youth and Family Services in their Community Navigator Program, Mrs. Johnson-Martin earned certificate of completion for the Community Navigator role. Through her participation in the program and that critical designation, she gained support for advancing her business. Although she had already enacted a formal business plan, the program helped her develop a comprehensive growth strategy aimed at securing SBA funding, and Mrs. Johnson-Martin is on a progressive path toward achieving that objective.
Before establishing Resolutions Behavioral Health Services, Mrs. Johnson-Martin served as a lead therapist at Quapaw House Inc. from 2018 to 2020. In this capacity, she provided therapeutic services and guidance to clients, drawing on her extensive experience in community services. Mrs. Johnson-Martin also gained critical clinical experience as a lead therapist at Preferred Family Healthcare between 2017 and 2018, where she refined her skills in adult day treatment and school-based mental health.
Mrs. Johnson-Martin initiated her career in mental health in 2008. In 2013 she joined Perspectives Behavioral Health Management LLC as a clinical leader. Through 2016, she made meaningful contributions to the company and her patient base while developing deeper expertise in managing clinical teams and delivering effective mental health services. Mrs. Johnson-Martin's diverse background also includes participation in the funeral industry; as a licensed funeral director, she sustains a family legacy and further demonstrates her multifaceted interests and skill set.
Mrs. Johnson-Martin's academic credentials forged a solid foundation for her advancement in social work and small business leadership. She proudly completed a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville in 2003 and subsequently pursued graduate studies. She now holds a master's degree in social work from The University of Texas at Arlington, which she earned in 2008. Mrs. Johnson-Martin's educational training is complimented by certifications such as being CARF accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
Persistent engagement in civic service opportunities further defines Mrs. Johnson-Martin's presence in the community. She is the acting board secretary for the Crossett Area Chamber of Commerce and serves as a board member for the City of Crossett Parks and Recreation Division; additionally, she is involved with her local rotary club.
