From 2005 to 2014, Ms. Richardson owned Oaks Speech Pathology Inc., where she worked as a medical speech pathologist. Her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to patient care were evident as she built a practice that addressed the complex needs of individuals with communication disorders.
Ms. Richardson's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in communication disorders from California State University Fullerton in 1992 and a Master of Science in communication disorders from the University of Redlands in 1994. She also holds several professional credentials, including the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment certification in 2009, is licensed in SPEAK OUT! treatment, and has a certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Richardson is actively involved in civic activities. She has been a driver for Meals on Wheels from 2014 to 2016 and participated in sand bucket delivery for the Town of Sudbury while living in MA. Her volunteer work extends to organizations such as the Capital Area Parkinson's Society in Austin, Texas, and the National Aphasia Association.
