Mr. Landers has distinguished himself with a career in finance and accounting spanning almost 30 years. He currently serves as a managing director at CBIZ Advisors, LLC, a role he's held since 2005. Mr. Landers currently has leadership roles within multiple groups in the company including outsourced CFO services, client accounting and advisory services, growth management consulting, executive advisory, systems and organization control examinations, and fraud prevention and internal control consulting.
At the outset of his career, Mr. Landers worked at a fast growing Fortune 100 company. He also has experience working in a small, venture-backed manufacturer, and a consumer goods start-up. He has served in a variety of corporate finance roles, including all levels of financial management, budget/forecasting, fundraising, outsourced CFO, and management consulting.
As part of the fractional CFO and consulting group of Nation Smith Hermes Diamond, a midsize certified public accounting firm, Mr. Landers helped grow the company from 25 to 120 employees and became a partner before it was sold to CBIZ in 2005, beginning his lengthy tenure in his current position. Throughout his time at CBIZ, now a $2.8 billion company, Mr. Landers has been recognized as a peak performer multiple times. During his tenure he has provided leadership with regards to numerous groups within the company, such as outsourced accounting and CFO services, Sarbanes Oxley consulting services, the strategic planning facilitation group, the enterprise resource planning (ERP) group, business intelligence tool and score-carding design and implementation group, and the cyber security consulting group, among others. He prides himself on being an innovative thinker and on forging strong relationships with clients, leading to many becoming close friends beyond their professional connections.
Having grown up in a modest background, Mr. Landers first recognized his passion for business while excelling in his education. He received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Master of Business Administration from San Diego State University. Mr. Landers credits his success to an upbringing that taught him the value of doing the right thing, even when it doesn't provide the greatest benefit to oneself. He was also taught to always surround himself with people who inspire him.
Mr. Landers is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and holds a Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS). Additionally, he is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). Mr. Landers was a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). He is a member of the Information Technology Alliance (ITA), a national organization of the top 100 accounting firms where he is a frequent speaker.

In addition to his successful career, Mr. Landers is dedicated to improving the world through civic engagement. He has served on the board of advisors for California State University San Marcos' College of Business Administration since 2012 and was previously a member of the Ecke YMCA management board and a past member of the board of the San Diego North Economic Development Council (SDNEDC). Mr. Landers recently ended a four-year role as part of the finance committee for Project Concern International (now known as Global Communities), a nonprofit focused on addressing poverty and promoting sustainable development around the world.
Outside of his professional life, Mr. Landers is a devoted husband and father to two sons. He enjoys listening to music, playing and collecting guitars, skiing, hiking, traveling with his family and spending time with friends and extended family.
