Mr. Fischer is a distinguished figure in the field of track and field coaching, renowned for his exceptional contributions to the sport. As the owner of Maximum Velocity Athletics LLC, he has coached nine international track and field athletes from diverse countries including the United States, India, Korea, Canada and Puerto Rico since 2022. He also coaches two Paralympic athletes from the United States, and through his online business, he cultivates and distributes customized training plans for coaches and athletes. Mr. Fischer's expertise extends to writing educational coaching materials for USA Track and Field and World Athletics.

Over the past 12 years, Mr. Fischer has coached 19 Olympic athletes and mentored approximately 25 Paralympic and world championship competitors. He initiated his career as a graduate assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1999 and then excelled as an assistant track and field coach at California State University, Northridge from 2000 to 2004. Subsequently, he thrived in a similar position at the University of Oklahoma from 2005 to 2010 before advancing to accept a coaching appointment at the United States Olympic Training Center in 2011. Concurrently, Mr. Fischer was the director of the residence program for USA Track and Field in southern California from 2014 to 2022.

Mr. Fischer's profile is in part defined by the world-class athletes with whom he has worked. He counts as particularly significant his coaching of Will Claye, the first athlete to earn medals in both the long jump and triple jump at the Olympic Games in over 70 years, as well as the first American to achieve this distinction in more than a century during the London Games. Furthermore, he coached Brittney Reese, the most decorated female long jumper in the sport's history, who has won 11 Olympic and World Championship medals. Finally, Mr. Fischer worked with Lex Gillette, a world record holder in the long jump and a blind Paralympic athlete who went on to deliver engaging TED talks to inspire others by recounting his remarkable achievements in sports.

Exceptional academic training has further shaped Mr. Fischer's approach to coaching and mentorship. He earned a Bachelor of Science in molecular biology and nutrition sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison before pursuing graduate studies. He proudly completed a Master of Science in kinesiology and exercise science at California State University, Northridge, a program that provided him with a strong foundation in both scientific principles and practical applications. Mr. Fischer also holds distinct industry certifications and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist, as granted by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and he completed the IAAF level 5 sprint/jumps program with World Athletics. He also achieved USATF levels 1, 2 and 3 jumps/sprints from USATF Southern California, where is has been the jumps lead instructor since 2012, and USA Weightlifting designated Mr. Fischer a level 1 coach.

Throughout his career, Mr. Fischer has received numerous accolades including the Ikkos Award in 2012, 2016 and 2021. He humbly accepted Coach of the Year honors from both the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee and NCAA, and Mr. Fischer was named the Assistant Coach of the Year during his college tenure. Notably, he was proud to be recognized as a podium-level coach by World Athletics.

Mr. Fischer actively seeks opportunities for civic engagement and is proudly affiliated with the Maximum Velocity Athletics Foundation, which provides funding and competitive opportunities for athletes. He is also a consistent donor to the Wisconsin Alumni Association.
