Additionally, he educates health care providers on Eli Lilly's products through direct engagement, community engagement and educational initiatives.
During his tenure at Eli Lilly, Mr. Evans also garnered success as a realtor for American Realty Professionals, achieving high honors and regards within the Atlanta area. His diverse background also includes serving as a middle school mathematics educator and educational leader within the Fulton County (GA) school system. He has worked as an account manager for new installations and service contracts at Otis Elevator Company and held various research and engineering-focused positions at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
Mr. Evans holds an International master's in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, magna cum laude, from Tuskegee University. He holds a certification in situational leadership and organizational effectiveness from Eli Lilly and Company, a real estate license, and credentials as a CrossFit coach. Mr. Evans is pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Artificial Intelligence and Health Equity.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Evans is deeply involved in civic and humanitarian activities. He serves on the board of directors for Artportunity Knocks Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to providing underserved students with state-of-the-art educational programs and industry experiences in fields often inaccessible to disadvantaged children. Mr. Evans pushed the board and organization to new heights, helping the organization to grow to nearly one million dollars in revenues. Mr. Evans's passion for the youth, underserved communities, and dedication to the advancement of all people is exemplified through his work with Artportunity Knocks.
In addition to the non-profit sector, Mr. Evans is the founder of Real Men Read, an organization he started in college to increase the reading levels of K-12 students and provide mentorship with exposure to collegiate education and HBCU culture. He regularly donates to several organizations and participates in various volunteer activities through his social and religious affiliations. Mr. Evans is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., where he has served on several local and national committees focused on health equity and financial stability.
Mr. Evans co-authored a publication relative to his field, which was subsequently presented at an EPSCoR Poster Presentation Open House in Montgomery, Alabama, in 2015. The paper's title was 'Mechanical and Thermal Effects of Different Concentrations of Unsaturated Polyester Resin Used in Epoxy Resin as a Toughening Interpenetrating Polymer Network System.' His research earned him the prestigious Dwight D. Eisenhower Fellowship.
Mr. Evans has been recognized throughout his career with numerous awards and honors. Most notably are serving as Mr. Tuskegee University, the highest honor for a male student at Tuskegee University, Transformative Male Award, Eli Lilly and Company Excellence Award, and Distinguished Alumni Award.
Mr. Evans is steadfast about expanding the branding and awareness of Artportunity Knocks while helping young adults navigate their career and life goals. He also aims to eradicate systemic wealth disparities among Historically Black Colleges and University campuses and communities.
