Ms. Allen has established a distinguished career in the publishing industry spanning over three decades, currently serving as the owner and publisher of the Hot Springs Village Voice in Arkansas. Since 2021, she has been at the helm of this publication, where her most notable achievement was the successful acquisition of the newspaper. This accomplishment reflects her enduring dedication and hard work with the publication over the years. By taking ownership, she revitalized a cherished local institution and reestablished a vital connection between the community and its news, ensuring residents have access to reliable information and a platform for their voices.
Before assuming her current role, Ms. Allen was a group publisher at Gannett, the parent organization of USA TODAY NETWORK, from 2019 to 2020. In this capacity, she oversaw multiple publications, focusing on strategic growth and operational efficiency. Her leadership skills were further honed during her tenure at GateHouse Media (before acquiring and changing their name to Gannett), as the general manager over several publications from 2017 until 2019, where she managed daily operations and implemented innovative advertising strategies.

Upon graduation in 1992, she started working at The Sentinel-Record as an advertising sales representative and then served as advertising manager 2001-2007, where she led a team in creating impactful marketing solutions for clients. Her early experiences in sales laid a strong foundation for her future roles in management and leadership within the field.
In 2007, Ms. Allen joined the advertising sales team at the Hot Springs Village Voice, then owned by Stephens Media (later to be purchased by GateHouse Media), and soon became the regional advertising director through 2017. Her decade-long commitment in this role involved developing comprehensive advertising campaigns that significantly increased revenue streams for the organization.
Throughout her career, she has been actively involved with industry-related organizations, including serving on the board of directors for the Arkansas Press Association since 2019 and previously for the Hot Springs Village Area Chamber of Commerce between 2010 and 2020, in which she held the position as president of the board in 2018.
Providing Ms. Allen with the essential business acumen that has been instrumental in her professional journey was her educational background, inclusive of a Bachelor of Business Administration from Henderson State University, which she earned in 1992. She attributes her success to her dedication to understanding diverse individuals and enterprises within her community, fostering meaningful relationships that have cultivated a strong network of trust and collaboration.
