From 2014 to 2022, Mr. Tam was an associate director and senior product manager at Moody's Analytics Inc. During his tenure, he led a small but dedicated team to build and manage credit risk software products while enhancing his expertise in commercial real estate. Mr. Tam made innovative contributions to the software by transforming the pricing structure to include additional functionality. He maintained a high-level product NPS score that exceeded the company average by delivering current macroeconomic and climate change scenarios.

Furthermore, he developed Excel add-in features, providing clients with comprehensive portfolio analytics and valuable investment insights. Mr. Tam's journey into climate change began at Moody's Analytics in 2019 where he dedicated himself to climate risk modeling and developing climate solutions.

This path led Mr. Tam to pursue a position at One Concern Inc. as a group product manager from 2022 to 2023 to focus on climate resilience analytics. In this position, he assisted institutional clients in identifying their portfolio's climate risk exposures and evaluating their resilience. His work at One Concern Inc. was instrumental in expanding his knowledge in product management, software development, climate and commercial real estate, and eventually led him to specialize in designing strategies to address both physical and transition risks associated with climate change at his current position in S&P Global.

Since 2023, Mr. Tam has served as the associated director of climate/ESG credit risk at S&P Global Inc. In his role, he ensures the satisfaction and success of the company's esteemed clients by effectively leveraging its products and services. Mr. Tam is also actively involved in developing client outreach initiatives and maintaining strong and positive relationships with his customer base.

Mr. Tam's earlier career included roles as a quantitative research intern in international equity at Bailard in 2014 and as a quantitative research intern in FX at Thomson Reuters in 2013. Before pivoting into finance, he began his professional journey in engineering as a software engineer in autonomous vehicle research with the Multiple Moving Target Tracking Research Group in the College of Engineering at the University of California Berkeley from 2008 to 2010. Subsequently, Mr. Tam joined Northrop Grumman Information Systems as a software engineer in weather research between 2011 and 2012.

Highly educated, Mr. Tam received a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and computer science and a Bachelor of Arts in applied mathematics from the University of California Berkeley in 2010. He then received a Master of Science in financial mathematics from Stanford University in 2014. In addition to his degrees, Mr. Tam obtained several certifications that have furthered his expertise. He holds product executive and leader certificates from Product School Inc. since 2020. He also became a certified Financial Risk Manager through the Global Association of Risk Professionals in 2017.

Mr. Tam's commitment to education and professional development extends beyond his career. He has a passion for actively contributing to the growth of others, mentoring five interns at Moody's Analytics during his tenure with the organization.
