UNIONDALE, NY, January 15, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel Tides has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who Emerging Leaders. Mr. Tides is a visionary leader with over 15 years of experience in digital transformation, building information modeling (BIM) and digital twin implementation. Involved in digital delivery at NEOM since 2023, Mr. Tides leads the digital strategy for Trojena, focusing on smart city initiatives. He has developed NEOM-wide digital standards for BIM, digital engineering, asset management and Internet of Things (IoT) integration. His work also includes managing cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with NEOM's digital objectives, positioning the organization as a leader in smart city and digital twin innovation across the United States, the United Kingdom, the Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and the Australia-New Zealand regions.

In addition to his role at NEOM, Mr. Tides has been involved with the Digital Twin Advisory Group at Connected Places Catapult and has served as the Asia-Pacific digital twin lead for SWAN-The Smart Water Networks Forum since 2022. His contributions have been pivotal in advancing smarter city planning and growth across transportation, mobility, utilities, and digital twin innovations. Additionally, he has been part of the Digital Twin Task Force at the Smart Cities Council since 2021.

Previously, from 2021 to 2023, Mr. Tides was the digital twin implementation lead at Sydney Water under the New South Wales Government in Australia. In this role, he spearheaded the implementation of digital twin systems for Australia's largest water utility. His efforts focused on geospatial systems, IoT, data analytics foundations, cloud enterprise systems and smart city applications. He further established standards for BIM, IoT and SCADA while driving alignment with government initiatives across New South Wales.

Mr. Tides' earlier career included serving as the digital delivery lead at AECOM in 2021 and as the national design BIM manager at Mirvac from 2020 to 2021. At AECOM, he led digital transformation efforts for major public and private projects across Australia-New Zealand, focusing on BIM delivery and project management. His tenure at Mirvac involved directing BIM and digital workflow standards across national projects.


Mr. Tides' foundational roles included being a digital engineering manager and digital design manager at asBUILT DIGITAL from 2019 to 2020 and a national BIM manager at Jackson Teece from 2016 to 2020. He was also a BIM coordinator at Grimshaw in 2016 after serving as a BIM leader and model manager at Mirvac from 2014 to 2016. His initial professional experience was as an architectural BIM technician at BN Group Pty. Ltd. from 2013 to 2014.

Academically, Mr. Tides is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Boston University with an expected graduation in 2025. He holds a Bachelor of Architectural Computing and Architecture from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and completed coursework in data analytics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Additionally, he earned a diploma of architectural technology and architecture from Tafe NSW. Moreover, Mr. Tides has obtained several certifications that have bolstered his professional expertise, including a construction building certificate from UNSW and various LinkedIn certifications, such as business development, strategic planning, change leadership, cybersecurity for executives and developing executive presence, among others.

Looking ahead, Mr. Tides plans to pursue a doctorate focused on artificial intelligence, digital transformation and sustainable smart cities. These efforts will allow him to continue building on his legacy of impact, transforming cities, advancing sustainability, and contributing to the growth and success of the teams and individuals with whom he works.
