Additionally, he garnered success as a senior research engineer from 1999 to 2008, during which time he led several groundbreaking projects that significantly contributed to the development of orthopedic devices. One of Mr. Tust's most notable achievements during this period was the development of a pelvic area reconstruction device, which revolutionized treatment for patients with pelvic tumors by providing a viable option for survival and functionality post-tumor removal. He was also instrumental in developing the Duracon Knee, the predecessor to the Triathlon.
Mr. Tust's foundation in metallurgy was established at Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in metallurgy in 1983. His professional affiliations further demonstrate his commitment to excellence and innovation. He is an active member of ASTM, contributing to the ASTM F42 committee on additive manufacturing technologies, the ASTM E01 committee on analytical chemistry for metals, ores, and related materials, and ASM International.
