Since starting at Terra Veterinary Services Inc. in 2015, Dr. Henderson has since established herself as a dedicated veterinarian. In her current role, she continues to hone her skills and expand her expertise in animal care. Day to day, Dr. Henderson is responsible for performing surgeries and treating a wide variety of animals, including small animals, equines, food animals, exotics, and avians.

Both her rigorous daily schedule and her ability to manage diverse veterinary challenges illustrate Dr. Henderson's commitment to the health and welfare of all the animals she cares for. Growing up, she had the privilege of spending her childhood on a farm, where she developed a deep appreciation for animals and their various life stages. In this early period of her life, Dr. Henderson was also exposed to outstanding veterinarians who instilled in her a passion for the field--a passion that has only grown stronger.

For her involvement in the veterinary field and her focus on the care of large animals, Dr. Henderson holds membership with the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, and the American Association of Equine Practitioners. To become a veterinarian, she pursued a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, which she earned from the University of Missouri in 2022; that same year, she rose to the rank of veterinarian at Terra Veterinary Services after over five years of gaining experience at the practice. Throughout her academic and professional tenure, Dr. Henderson received invaluable support and guidance from her mentors and unwavering encouragement from the community she belongs, which proved instrumental in helping her achieve her goals.

Earlier on in her academic career, Dr. Henderson was recognized as an honor society inductee and was named among the Who's Who Among American High School Students, accolades that reflect her commitment to excellence, which she has since carried into her professional career. In reflecting on her career thus far, she cites one of her most notable accomplishments as performing bone surgery and the highlight of her profession as bearing witness to and assisting in the birth of new life and then seeing those animals grow healthy and strong. Along with reveling in the challenges of the medical and surgical aspects of her work, Dr. Henderson is motivated by the animals she cares for, as she enjoys being a part of the animals' lives with their owners.

Coupled with her hands-on work, Dr. Henderson takes pride in mentoring and training colleagues within the veterinary field, finds solace in spending time on her family farm, and is involved with her local animal control. As she continues at Terra Veterinary Services, she plans to help grow the practice to encompass more large animal services to attract new clients and hopes to offer an extended range of services to existing clients as well. In the next five years, Dr. Henderson aspires to establish her own private practice, which aligns with her long-term vision of providing exceptional care to animals and their owners within her community.
