Mr. Chowdhury's career began in 1995 as a staff accountant at Sanofi-Aventis. He subsequently advanced to the role of senior financial analyst at DTCC, after which his journey continued at Citi, where he served as vice president of technology finance. Following this period, he joined Morgan Stanley as a controller of wealth management operations, and later served as a controller of institutional and corporate technology.

Inspired by a friend's father who worked as a chartered accountant, Mr. Chowdhury pursued a career in accounting and finance after moving to the United States and studying at Baruch College, from which he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and finance in 1994 and a Master of Business Administration in finance in 1998. He holds certifications as a certified public accountant from AICPA and as a certified management accountant from the Institute of Management Accountants, obtained in 1996. In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Chowdhury is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Additionally, he co-founded and served as president of North American Humanitarian Aid and Relief from 2011 to 2012 and was the national director of MUNA Youth, a nonprofit Muslim youth organization, from 2005 to 2010. He is also the president of the Baitul Mamur Masjid and Community Center.
