Mr. Bentz, a distinguished professional in the field of claims and litigation management, currently serves as the vice president of claims and litigation at American Trucking and Transportation Insurance Company RRG. Since joining the company in 2014, he has been instrumental in overseeing catastrophic losses and working closely with the chief executive officer and chief commercial officer to set strategic direction, govern claims and balance operational effectiveness in alignment with the organization's mission.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Bentz was the northwest dispatch operations manager at Watkins Shepard Trucking from 2013 to 2014. In this capacity, he managed large-scale trucking operations, early claim resolution and subrogation interest. Furthermore, he leveraged his expertise in risk and data analysis to engage effectively with team members and provide insights into cost savings. Before his time at Watkins Shepard Trucking, he served as an account and distribution representative for Coca-Cola Refreshments in Western Montana from 2011 to 2013, where he honed his skills in logistics and distribution.

Mr. Bentz holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a focus on management information systems from the University of Montana College of Business, which he earned in 2011. Coupled with his job experience, his education has been pivotal in his successful career, as it provided a strong foundation for his roles in various organizations. Along with his degree, Mr. Bentz pursued certification to become an automobile claim law associate, a fraud claim law associate and a legal principles claim specialist via the American Educational Institute Inc. as well as an associate in claims professional and a certified claims professional from the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, among others. Furthermore, he holds a multi-line adjuster license from the State of Montana Commission of Securities and Insurance.

Overall, Mr. Bentz attributes much of his success to his remarkable adaptability and the invaluable guidance of mentors, such as Harvey Mensch and Trevor Uffelman. His career began humbly in a semi-tractor trailer repair facility owned by his family in Billings, Montana. After obtaining his commercial driver's license during a challenging economic period, he transitioned through various roles before finding his niche in claims management. In reflecting on his career overall, Mr. Bentz fondly recalls collaborating with a respected colleague on a successful subrogation initiative within their business--a testament to his innovative spirit and commitment to excellence.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Bentz is actively involved in the Trucking Industry Defense Association as well as Phi Theta Kappa, and his commitment to his career and continuous learning is evident through his voracious reading habit, often juggling nearly five books at a time across diverse genres. All in all, Mr. Bentz's journey is marked by his resilience, adaptability and relentless pursuit of knowledge--qualities that continue to drive his success and inspire those around him.

Outside of his career, Mr. Bentz devotes his time to the Equipment Transportation for the Missoula SUP Cup and the Gavel. Additionally, he is involved with his local parent-teacher-student association, the Young Men's Christian Association and fundraising efforts for X Games for Veterans. Such activities reflect his dedication to community service and personal growth. Moreover, Mr. Bentz enjoys woodworking and cherishes time spent with his two young children.
