Mr. Williams has made significant strides in his career at the YMCA of Selma-Dallas County, where he has been the marketing director since 2018. In this role, he has been instrumental in expanding the basketball program's participation from 50 to 150 individuals and enhancing the summer camp offerings. Mr. Williams' efforts have not only increased program accessibility but also improved community engagement through initiatives like family cooking classes and partnerships with local court systems for alternative sentencing programs.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Williams was an aquatics facilitator and swim instructor at the YMCA in 2018. His dedication to safety and skill development in aquatic environments contributed to a well-rounded recreational experience for members. From 2014 to 2018, Mr. Williams also garnered success as a lifeguard, ensuring the safety of swimmers and fostering a secure community space.

Mr. Williams' proactive involvement in grant writing and program proposals has led to substantial achievements for the YMCA. Notably, he secured a grant that provided full scholarships for 75 students during a seven-week summer camp, covering program supplies and staff salaries. This success was particularly impactful during the COVID-19 pandemic when resources were scarce.

Mr. Williams' community service initiatives were instilled by his father and grandparents while coming of age. Apart from supporting the YMCA community by assisting members with various gardening projects in his free time, he actively supports the Michael Johnson Foundation by designing flyers, providing marketing expertise, and managing logistics for events such as the Veterans Breakfast, school supply drives, and the recently established teen technology center at a local college. He also engages in local school events like Read Aloud Week, reading to students, and fostering literacy. Moreover, Mr. Williams was recently approached to participate in a video filming project to promote kidney health after donating one of his kidneys to his father through a kidney swap with another donor.

The educational foundation that has supported Mr. Williams' career includes a Bachelor of Science in psychology and sociology in 2018 and a Master of Arts in integrated marketing communications in 2022 from the University of West Alabama. In recognition of his work and positive influence on youth, Mr. Williams received a certificate highlighting his contributions as a community volunteer from his school district in 2023. He was also named Hope Dealer of the Year for encouraging children to lead drug-free lives in 2023.
