As a project superintendent, Mr. Kisling's role involves coordinating with engineers, safety personnel and other superintendents to ensure quality and safety on-site. Mr. Kisling began his career at McCarthy Building Companies as a project engineer intern in 2015 after gaining experience as a project engineer intern at Weis Builders in 2014. From 2016 to 2019, he continued at McCarthy as a project engineer, during which time he honed his skills in project coordination and client relations. In 2019, Mr. Kisling was promoted to senior project engineer, a role in which he further developed his expertise in budget management and quality adherence.

Before stepping into his current position, Mr. Kisling served as an assistant superintendent from 2020 to 2022. In that role, he focused on ensuring safety and meeting scheduled milestones. Throughout his career, he has exhibited a strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork, which is a central aspect of his leadership approach. Mr. Kisling skillfully balances meticulous attention to detail with a broad perspective on overall goals and recognizes the importance of fostering positive relationships; therefore, he makes an effort to actively listen to the needs of others.

As a dedicated leader in his field, Mr. Kisling is actively involved in industry-related organizations. Since 2013, he has held membership with The Associated General Contractors of America. Additionally, Mr. Kisling is a founding father of The Delta Chi Fraternity – Iowa State Chapter, where he has been involved since 2012. Together, these affiliations have provided him with valuable networking opportunities and contributed to his professional growth.

Mr. Kisling holds a bachelor's degree in construction engineering with a building emphasis from Iowa State University of Science and Technology, which he completed in 2016. Overall, his academic training laid the foundation for his successful career in construction management. Influenced by his grandfather's work ethic and his late father, Kevin Kisling, Mr. Kisling attributes much of his success to their example and the support of his team and mentors like Preston Cope and Adam Sangl.

Beyond his professional life, Mr. Kisling is committed to civic engagement through his involvement with local charities and church activities, such as building beds for children in need. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, hunting, working out and reading biographies, as he is particularly interested in understanding how others became successful through innovation. Looking ahead, Mr. Kisling plans to focus on pre-construction projects that require meticulous and immense amounts of preparation, like his current $1.3 billion hospital project where he will eventually help execute his planning efforts on the jobsite. As he continues in his career, he aims to support both his team and the community while delivering high-quality projects for those who need them most.
