Mr. Limbaga is a distinguished professional working in the field of digital product design. Currently, he holds the title of director of design and user experience at Inovalon. Since joining the data-driven health care solutions company in 2020, Mr. Limbaga has been instrumental in designing the interface for all products sold to customers. Along with managing his team of several individuals, he handles the design for the software that constitutes the highest revenue and profit margin for Inovalon and conducts user experience interviews with stakeholders to ensure the creation of user-friendly and marketable designs.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Limbaga held several significant positions at Inovalon, including senior principal of user experience design strategy from 2020 to 2023. Before joining Inovalon, he was the practice design lead at InsightsGen from 2017 to 2020. Additionally, Mr. Limbaga's career included a brief tenure as a data analyst at TD Ameritrade in 2020 and as a principal for North America at IAC Partners in 2019. Beforehand, he served as a design thinking strategist and visual facilitator at Guardian Life in 2018 and as a visual design lead at DXD Partners from 2017 to 2018.
Mr. Limbaga's extensive experience in human resources began at L'Or al, where he held multiple roles for more than a decade. After his initial job as a business analyst at the American Red Cross, which he held from 2002 to 2006, he started at L'Or al as a senior systems analyst, a role he occupied in from 2006 to 2008, before advancing to manager of human resource information systems, a position he held from 2008 to 2014. Thereafter, Mr. Limbaga held the title of director of learning technology and digital transformation at L'Or al from 2014 to 2016 and later served as the director of human resource information services and human resource data analytics from 2016 to 2018.
Ultimately, Mr. Limbaga's decision to leave L'Or al for design management consulting opened up opportunities with major clients like Samsung and General Electric, as well as enriching experiences, such as exploring the French Alps and engaging in innovation work with Johnson and Johnson in Colombia. Originally from the Philippines, he earned a Bachelor of Science in marine sciences from the University of the Philippines, where he graduated in 1999. After being laid off during the pandemic, his career expanded and evolved when he pursued coursework to earn certifications in film documentary, cinema and video studies at the New York Film Academy.
Such study and training marked a significant turning point in his career, as Mr. Limbaga pivoted into consulting and film production. As a result, he established Fighting Bear Visuals in 2019, where he serves as owner and chief story producer. All in all, Mr. Limbaga's career journey from human resources to design within just two years as well as his newfound career in film stands as a testament to his adaptability and ambition.
In tandem with his professional endeavors in design, documentary filmmaking and freelance, Mr. Limbaga serves on the advisory council at Rutgers University and holds professional affiliations with both the American Photographic Artists and the American Society of Media Photographers. Beyond his career, he is dedicated to civic engagement, having volunteered with the American Red Cross in 2001 and local charities in New Rochelle, New York.
In the next five to 10 years, Mr. Limbaga aims to expand his own business and continue working in the field of design. Currently, he has several ongoing technology-based experiments in the works and is gradually growing his business to achieve financial stability, freedom, and, most importantly, to provide for his family back in the Philippines. Overall, he remains driven by his passion for storytelling and creative expression and aspires to work for Pixar Animation in the future.
