SCOTTSDALE, AZ, January 23, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel A. Nucuta has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Nucuta has established a distinguished reputation in the aerospace industry and recently retired as the Honeywell Aerospace executive senior director of engineering, leading the Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) portfolio of products. Since accepting this appointment in 2017, he has collaborated to ensure excellence in engineering development and business processes, significantly enhancing innovation, airworthiness, safety, quality and customer satisfaction. Under Mr. Nucuta's leadership, Honeywell's global aerospace CNS organization achieved multi-billion annual and growth revenues, managing over 400 types of complex federated and integrated avionics systems, serving the Air Transport, Business and General Aviation, Helo, Regional, Urban Air Mobility, Unmanned Aircraft Systems, and Defense and Space markets.

Mr. Nucuta managed the design, development, certification, delivery and maintenance of complex, novel, ground breaking aerospace technologies, and safety critical avionics systems for most of the Original Equipment Manufacturers including Airbus, Archer, Boeing, Bombardier, Cessna, Dassault, Embraer, Eviation, Gulfstream, Leonardo, Lilium, Lockheed, Pilatus, Pipistrel, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, and Textron Aviation.

From 2016 to 2028, Mr. Nucuta was appointed as the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) avionics committee chairman, promoting safety and the understanding of the role the aviation plays in the global economic growth and transportation.

Before progressing to his current leadership role, Mr. Nucuta thrived as the senior director of engineering for avionics, engines, mechanical systems product assurance, airworthiness and certification with Honeywell from 2015 to 2017. During this period, he was formally appointed by the Federal Aviation Administration as the Honeywell Organization Designation Authorization certification leader for all Honeywell Aerospace Products (avionics, auxiliary power units, engines and mechanical systems); as an authority in the aerospace business, he secured certifications for Honeywell's new and novel systems with the global aviation authorities such as the Federal Aviation Administration, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia, the Civil Aviation Authority of United Kingdom, the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of India, the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil, and Transport Canada. In this capacity, Mr. Nucuta's efforts helped position the firm as a leading aerospace organization for safety and airworthiness alongside industry competitors including BAE Systems, Collins Aerospace, Garmin, GE Aerospace, L3Harris, Thales, and Universal Avionics.

From 2010 to 2015, Mr. Nucuta served as the director of engineering for avionics product assurance, airworthiness and certification at Honeywell Aerospace after earning valuable experience as a senior technical manager for flight management systems avionics between 2007 and 2010. Notably, Mr. Nucuta's expertise in flight management systems was forged in roles that included technical manager and lead systems engineer with Honeywell from 2003 to 2007 and from 1999 to 2003, respectively.

Mr. Nucuta initiated his career with a series of distinct titles including senior project systems engineer in avionics systems design at The Boeing Company from 1996 to 1999. Earlier, he worked as a senior lead systems software engineer in real-time avionics systems software design at Canadian Aerospace Electronics Inc. from 1991 to 1996, and he gained foundational experience as a technical manager of avionics, navigation and guidance systems design division at Transporturile Aeriene Române (TAROM) from 1987 to 1991. Mr. Nucuta has been recognized with 25+ technical and leadership awards for his many meaningful contributions throughout his career, including the Aerospace Navigator Award from Honeywell International in 2017 and multiple Technical Achievement Awards from Honeywell International, The Boeing Company and Canadian Aerospace Electronics Inc.

The pursuit of higher education has been a persistent focus for Mr. Nucuta. He proudly earned both a Master of Business Administration in international business management, with distinction, from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Master of Science in aerospace and avionics engineering from Politehnica University of Bucharest, where he graduated summa cum laude. He remains equally as committed to civic engagement and serves as a parent volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and is dedicated to sharing his extensive business expertise through consulting and mentoring. Mr. Nucuta remains committed to his running passion, being an Abbott World Marathon Majors 6 Star Finisher, as he has qualified and successfully completed between 2016 and 2023, the Boston, Berlin, Chicago, London, New York, and Tokyo marathons, along with numerous other long-distance running races. Looking toward the future, Mr. Nucuta aims to continue teaching and coaching, and he will focus on spending quality time with his children as he seeks a balance between his professional and family commitments while drawing inspiration from his experiences living across Europe, Canada and the United States.
