MIAMI LAKES, FL, February 06, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Patricia Andrea Davis-Lemessy, PhD, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Davis-Lemessy is an accomplished engineering fellow and senior principal engineer at Cordis, where she has been a pivotal figure for the past seven years. In this role, she serves as a subject matter expert for the materials used in the company's products. She is responsible for writing to regulatory agencies about the technical aspects of these products and seeking new materials to replace those that might be discontinued. Her expertise and dedication have significantly contributed to the company's success, particularly in the design of products that have been favorably welcomed by the industry.

Prior to joining Cordis, Dr. Davis-Lemessy was an engineer at W. L. Gore and Associates from 2014 to 2015. Between 2012 and 2014, she served as a principal manufacturing engineer at Creganna-Tactx Medical. Before these positions, she held a previous tenure at Cordis, while it was a by Johnson and Johnson company, as a principal engineer from 2000 to 2012.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Davis-Lemessy was a senior research engineer II at Merit Medical Systems from 1999 to 2000 and a research and development manager at Biocompatibles Cardiovascular from 1997 to 1998. She also held positions as a senior research engineer II at Guidant Corporation and a senior research engineer I at Advanced Cardiovascular Systems. Her career began as a research associate at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute within the University of Miami Health System in 1990.

Dr. Davis-Lemessy's academic background is equally impressive. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy in polymer science and engineering from the University of Connecticut in 1990 after completing her Master of Science at the same institution. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering with a minor in materials science from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1984. Beyond her formal education, she attributes her success to her passion for her work, which has driven her numerous achievements and contributions to her field.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Davis-Lemessy has been actively involved in civic organizations, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. She has also contributed as an author and self-publisher on Amazon, having written "Positive Affirmation for the Black Child" and "A Woman of Color."

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Davis-Lemessy enjoys gardening, running marathons and traveling. Looking ahead, she plans to engage in consulting work, travel more extensively and mentor the next generation of engineers and scientists.
