Ms. Lee, a distinguished senior engineer at Amgen Inc., has made significant contributions to the biopharmaceutical industry. With seven years of professional experience, she has been instrumental in troubleshooting multiple manufacturing processes in the biopharma industry, developing work and process improvements and collaborating with teams to enhance equipment and conduct testing. During these 3 years at Amgen, she has been involved in single-use technologies and equipment development and supported the manufacturing teams using them in the monoclonal antibody manufacturing platform.

Ms. Lee assumed her current position at Amgen Inc. in 2021 and has played a pivotal role in developing a cutting-edge, single-use centrifugation system. This breakthrough represents a significant advancement in the biopharma industry, marking the first successful development of a single-use centrifuge. Prior to her tenure at Amgen, she served as a senior research associate at Sorrento Therapeutics Inc. from 2020 to 2021. During this period, she developed the COVID-19 vaccine upstream process from scratch, handling and designing all process parameters from process development to manufacturing independently and troubleshooting in clinical manufacturing.

From 2019 to 2020, Ms. Lee was a research associate II at Abzena Ltd., where she contributed to various upstream process development projects. She also gained valuable experience as a student contractor at Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited from 2018 to 2019 and as a graduate student consultant at FujiFilm Irvine Scientific during the same period. Earlier in her career, she worked as a senior process engineer for various skin care products.

Ms. Lee's academic background is extensive and impressive. She earned a Master of Science in Biopharmaceutical Processing Research and Development and a Master of Engineering in Biopharmaceutical Processing from Keck Graduate Institute in 2019 and a Master of Science in applied chemistry from National Pingtung University in Taiwan in 2016, before immigrating to the United States. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical biology from the National Pingtung University of Education. Her certifications include Finesse G3Lab DeltaV from Thermo Fisher, SchedulePro from Intelligen and a SuperPro Designer Certification, also from Intelligen.

Throughout her career, Ms. Lee has received numerous accolades, including an Outstanding Teaching Award from Confident Science Learning Center LLC in 2014 and won the third place Best Science Poster in 2017. She has also been involved in several notable projects and publications, such as her thesis "Investigating Constituents from the Root Bark of Paeonia Suffruticosa Andrews for Type 2 Diabetes Treatment" and creating six YouTube videos for WuXi Biologics.
