From 2011 to 2019, Ms. Keeney worked at athenaHealth in Belfast, Maine. Ms. Keeney's career began with significant achievements as a research associate at Cranfield University in Kitakyushu, Japan, from 2004 to 2007. She was one of five individuals selected to assist in developing a new university campus, serving as a government liaison and contributing to vital research initiatives. The Japanese government recognized her team's efforts with a special five-year research visa.

Ms. Keeney's academic background has been instrumental in shaping her career trajectory. She graduated with honors as a Bachelor of Medical Science in pharmacology from the University of Birmingham in 2001, where she was granted a Home Office surgical license, and a master's degree in medical diagnostics from Cranfield University in 2004. While working toward her master's degree, she completed an internship at Unipath, where she was a member of the team that developed the world's first digital pregnancy test in 2003. Ms. Keeney also holds several professional credentials having completed courses in project management and ITIL. Eager for continuous growth, she is pursuing a dual doctorate in business administration and strategic management at the Swiss School of Business and Management. Her research focus is on the impact of generative AI on strategic business decisions.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Keeney is actively involved in industry-related organizations, such as Evanta's governing body. Civically, she volunteers on Dark Clouds, a supporters group at Minnesota United.
