Prior to her current position, she served as an Administrative Supervisor at the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District from 2022 to 2024. Concurrently, since 2020, she has been a licensed agent with Transamerica, further diversifying her professional portfolio. Her tenure as a Staff Analyst II at the San Bernardino County Museum from 2019 to 2022 and as a Staff Analyst at the San Bernardino County Workforce Development Department from 2017 to 2019 highlights her versatility and commitment to public service. During her tenure with Workforce Development, she served as committee Chair for the Customer-Centered Design team which resulted in implementing streamlined processes for the department in 2017. Earlier in her career, Ms. Motta was a Payroll Specialist at the San Bernardino County Workforce Development Department from 2016 to 2017, where she efficiently managed payroll processes from recruitment to staff benefits support. Her experience as an Account Manager at BurdgeCooper from 2012 to 2015 and Stuart F. Cooper from 2002 to 2009 underscores her proficiency in client relations and account management. She also held roles as an office manager at Capitol Image Inc. from 2001 to 2002 and as a Supervisor of Strategic Accounts at LoopNet from 1999 to 2001, demonstrating her leadership capabilities.

Ms. Motta's academic background has been pivotal in shaping her career success. She earned a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University in 2017, which equipped her with advanced leadership skills applicable across various roles. Her Bachelor of Business Administration and Human Resources Management degree from Walden University in 2007 provided a strong foundation in business principles and human resources strategies. Additionally, coursework at California State University in 1999 and East Los Angeles College in liberal studies in 1996 contributed to her well-rounded educational background.

One of Ms. Motta's most commendable achievements has been her dual role as both a dedicated student and a mentor. She completed the San Bernardino County Management and Leadership Academy Supervisory track in 2017 and the Management track in 2020. Throughout her journey, she not only focused on her own development but also took on the responsibility of mentoring and coaching fellow participants in those tracks. Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Motta is actively involved in civic organizations. She served on the Elected Official Compensation Commission and Personnel Commission for the City of San Bernardino. She also recently started supporting Girls Inc. Los Angeles, reflecting her commitment to community engagement and mentorship. Her dedication extends to industry-related organizations such as the Society of Human Resource Management, Alpha Phi Omega, the National Association of Professional Women and the National Fire Protection Association. In addition, she has been honored with several awards such as the Public Service Award of Excellence in 2021 and Woman of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women in 2014.

In her personal life, Ms. Motta cherishes spending time with her husband, with whom she shares a passion for serving others. In 2025, they will be celebrating 24 years of marriage and 32 years together. She dreams of exploring Mexico, connecting with her family's roots, and envisioning retirement adventures. Professionally, she aims to advance within the Fire District as it grows and encourages her colleagues to view challenges from different perspectives.
