Based on this discovery, the understanding and treatment of autoimmune diseases and many other immunologically related diseases, including prevention of recurrence of cancers and effective control of chronic rejection of graft transplantation in potential clinical applications, have been advanced. She has also developed the Avotres technology platforms, including the manufacture platforms of immunomodulatory drugs for the aforementioned therapeutic applications, and a unique diagnostic assay system for early auto-immune disease detection and monitoring. As a research scientist, and later, the Founder, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and Chief Scientific Officer at Avotres Inc., she has been at the forefront of pioneering innovative therapies based on the breakthrough scientific discoveries. Prior to her current role, Dr. Jiang served as a professor of clinical immunology at College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University. Laying the groundwork for Dr. Jiang's professional endeavors was her academic background. She earned a Medical degree in internal medicine from Anhui Medical University in 1975, a Master degree of Pathophysiology in 1982, and a Doctor degree of Philosophy in microbiology and immunology from the Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1993.
